Sundance 2011 Flashmob

In case you guys haven't heard the news online, there was a flashmob that broke out this past Saturday on the streets of Park City during the Sundance Film Festival. I had the privilege of being a part of this awesome group. You can see me dressed in red and black at the beginning of this video.

Nina Sky

I went to the Far East Movement Concert last night, and Nina Sky were the opening act. I had never heard of them before, but I'm digging what I heard last night. Definitely going to keep up with these girls in the future.

My review of BoA's 6th Korean album - HURRICANE VENUS

I posted this over at BoAjjang just now, and decided I might as well bring it over here. As you may or may not know, I am a pretty big BoA fan and have been for quite a long time now, over six or seven years or so. This album marks her return to the Kpop scene in five years and it is also her 10th anniversary since debuting, so the hype around this is a big deal.

Here's the teaser MV for "Game" which is not the title track, but throwing a bone for the fans to expect what's to come.

Now for the Album review:

Moving to Wordpress?

Agh, I just imported all my posts here onto wordpress since wordpress is linked jointly to my Illustration website but I'm having major issues trying to match the blog layout to the website. Oy....

I'm wondering if I should just keep using blogspot though? I don't really care which host I use, I'm  just running into the problem of matching the layout to the website and I can't seem to do that on either blogspot or wordpress.

Tsk....

Easter weekend, the end of Lent

Meant to post this a long time ago.... uh.

Well, yes, Lent is over which means I don't have to fast anymore (MEAT) and I'm finally back and kicking it up on facebook.

There's a lot going on right now, namely the stress from finals.

You know, a lot of older people say it just gets harder when you're done with school and out in the real world working, but honestly, I think it'll actually get easier for me. No more writing up bullcrap papers (doesn't mean I don't like to write, people) or going to classes for many hours a day, juggling working to pay the rent with actual homework, etc etc. Once you've graduated, you can just....work. You can either get a day job if you're not ready to go full throttle into your creative field yet, or if you're really lucky and talented enough, you get hooked up with an awesome job doing what you love and trained to do for four years right after graduating.

I don't know which I'll be, but for these next few weeks, I really have to make sure these raps and illustrations get done, so I can actually pass and uh, graduate.

Wish me luck. >.<

100th Post

Whoot! Hasn't been a year since this blog's been started, but I have already reached 100 posts. Crazy!

I don't have anything profound to say about it though, so I'll just celebrate with a recent pic of myself. Yay.

I miss DBSK

Variety shows are always fun to watch when your favorite celebrities are on them.

They haven't been in the Korean music scene for awhile because of the lawsuit drama. Hope they'll be okay soon. They seem to be doing fine in Japan, though.

Anyways, just watching older but recent vids of them when they were promoting their most recent Korean album "Mirotic." Funny and entertaining as always.

Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent

I decided to give up facebook for Lent. Forty days and nights with limited social networking. It's barely been a day and I'm already feeling disconnected from the world. o_O

I'm cheating a little 'cause I'm not officially starting this abstinence from facebook until the end of today, but anyways....My sister was kind enough to inform me that technically Lent is forty-seven days. The Christian calendar doesn't count Sundays.

Omg...T_____T

The end of Lent is Easter, and that's on April 3rd.

APRIL.

Oh my. Can I really not update my statuses and pictures and day to day life for my friends to see for a month and a half?

I don't know......

My Lucky Element is Fire

According to what Courtney, my boss at Student Affairs believes.

While at work today, Courtney, Noki and I had a chat about Chinese astrology and zodiacs and all that good stuff. For the fun of it, we checked each other's lucky charts and what elements we were.

Apparently, Noki and I are to have a lot of luck in our prime years, but Courtney has had horrible luck throughout her life and she has the personal experience to back her chart up. Granted, we are using the internet to dictate what we need to do to create balance in our lives.... but hey, it is kind of interesting.

So after inputing my birth statistics, the Chinese Stem-Branch Calendar system tells me I am a Soil person, Earth, we could say, and my lucky element is Fire.

Soil = 103
Metal = 230
Water = 60
Wood = 19
Fire = 2

As one can see, my elements are way out of whack. I need more Fire and less Metal to balance things out for me. Courtney proposed an experiment where I change my diet so that I could put more Fire into my being, just to see if things are any different. Things like less dairy and cow, more spicy foods, chicken, garlic, onions, and all that. Oh, and according to the Fire guide, I should consider wearing more red, haha.

I have no idea. Courtney's got testimonies but she's really curious to see if this could work for me. I'm thinking about trying this experiment out when I'd have the time. Maybe at the beginning of March? I dunno, should be fun.

Check the charts out here.

My new baby!

It's so beautiful.

I need to get a protective case for it though. But it's been giving me lots of laughs today, haha. Just need to install Adobe stuff onto it soon.
