Picture Post

A lot has happened today and yesterday that I didn't get to write about, but I figured I should do a pic blog post first before I get to the events.

This is the butterfly charm that started the whole zomgisthebutterflymysymbol? thing.

It's not completely blue, but one of these days...I'll probably end up making a self portrait based on this idea.

Seoul Forest.

Can't turn down ice cream, even in another country.

Olympic Park. I really like the feel of this place. Definitely would like to go again.

COEX Mall. Great hangout spot for us young'uns.

Hongik University, under the umbrella sheltering from the rain.

I found this store at COEX. Just love seeing these signs pop up everywhere.

Woke up at 10 am!

Whoo! Finally slept in!

Well, actually, I first woke up at around 7:30, but then fell back to sleep, and now it's late morning! Muahaha. I guess that twisted form of jetlag is finally over.

So I went to the Orientation yesterday. Actually it was more like a meeting. And I came about an hour early. I wanted to look around the campus and stuff, but I ended up at the International Center sooner than I had planned, so Miss Yunhee Kim (the lady who's been helping me the whole time for this study abroad thing) said she could just give me the Orientation one on one.

It rained on my way there, too. I had to stop by a supermarket to get an umbrella. I really should have just brought one from home in the States. Had to pay 22,000 won for this umbrella. That's about 21 dollars. Way too much for an umbrella...

Today I'm going back to register for classes, pay the dorm fee, turn in some more applications. I need to take more passport pictures, but I have no idea how to do it with my little Korean T_T.

Oh yeah, I checked out the COEX mall at Samseong after I got back from Hongdae. Love the place. Totally an awesome hangout spot. It's got a mall, a museum, an artrium, a movie theater, and of course shopping and a food court. I saw a movie at a Korean theater for the first time! Whoot.

Saw GI Joe, lol. Had Korean subs, which I ignored for the most part, lol. The movie itself was ok...too much computer generated stuff. Could have been better. I digged the fighting, though, specifically between Snakeyes and that Korean guy. xD
